What We See: Google Search Console
In the first week of the project the site had just 292 clicks; the most recent week — 1,270. That's a 335% jump week-over-week alone. Impressions over the same period rose from 44,274 to 134,000.
Before / After
From a Shopify store stuck at 30–40 branded clicks a day to top-6 positions in one of the UK's most competitive niches.
The Challenge: One of the UK's Most Crowded Niches
The online market for blinds and curtains in the UK is one of the most competitive, saturated niches you can pick. The space has been dominated for years by giant brands with massive marketing budgets and unshakeable authority built up inside search engines.
This is exactly the environment we walked into with 1ClickBlinds — a young, ambitious Shopify store. At the start of our engagement the picture wasn't pretty: nearly all of the site's traffic came from branded queries alone, scraping together a modest 30–40 clicks per day. The challenge was clear — break through that ceiling and put the new store on page one for real, non-branded commercial keywords.
Audit & Strategic Analysis
As always, the work started with a deep technical and content audit of the site. A long list of problems holding the store back surfaced quickly. The core blockers came from Shopify-platform-specific weaknesses that made it hard for search engines to read the site correctly.
Beyond that, we found poorly optimized product pages and a practically non-existent internal linking structure. Blog strategy was at zero, and the biggest gap of all: commercial-intent keywords were almost entirely untouched. Pages weren't answering real user intent, and the business was losing thousands of potential buyers as a result.
Technical & On-Page Optimization
First we cleaned up the technical issues. We then ran detailed keyword research and built a UK-specific keyword map. That means every keyword was strategically tied to a specific page: transactional keywords pointed to products, commercial keywords pointed to collections.
Meta data, titles, and product descriptions were fully rewritten so that every unit on the site told Google exactly what it offered to the user.
Content Strategy: Answering Buyers Before They Buy
Since shoppers often look for practical guidance before purchasing, we built an effective blog strategy. We wrote and published high-value articles like "how to install blinds without drilling" and "choosing vertical blinds color".
Results came fast — both posts cracked Google's top 10. More importantly, internal linking funneled ready-to-buy traffic from those posts straight to product pages.
Backlinks: $1,500 Investment in Authority
Because the niche is so competitive, on-site optimization alone was never going to be enough. We launched an active outreach campaign based on competitor backlink analysis — direct negotiations with editors at authoritative sites, with strategic anchor text and target page distribution.
During the campaign we made a meaningful $1,500 investment in premium-quality link placements, which dramatically lifted the site's domain authority and laid a long-term foundation.
"89.1% of clicks coming from non-branded keywords — that was the real SEO win. Growth didn't come from brand awareness; it came from real search visibility."

Results in Numbers: 6-Month Triumph
Our strategy ran like clockwork. After 6 months, Google Search Console data blew past every expectation: 18,880 total clicks and 2.48 million impressions.
Comparing the first and last month, the progress is hard to miss: monthly clicks grew from 1,354 to 5,130 (+279%), impressions climbed from 224,633 to 525,000. Average position dropped from 19.3 to 14.9 (a 4.4-point improvement), and CTR nearly doubled — from 0.60% to 1.03%.
We captured one of the UK's most competitive terms — "blackout blinds" — with 2,951 clicks and a top-6 position (5.79). Equally strong results came on "black out blinds" (position 5.53) and "complete blackout blinds" (position 7.85). A single product page — Non-Drill Honeycomb Blackout Blinds — generated 374,595 impressions and 7,450 clicks alone, roughly 40% of total traffic. 72.8% of clicks came from mobile devices.
